I started "I Can Dress Myself" last year in Susan Carlson's class at Asilomar in Pacific Grove, CA. I took it to the Patt Blair Retreat I just went to this past March and finished the highlights in her hair, glued down some pieces and took the dog hair off that had collected on the bottom. I brought it home and sandwiched it and then Gloria Mauno volunteered to quilt it for me. She did an amazing job and I would have never done such a nice even squiggle. She even changed the thread on top so it would not be obvious. I couldn't wait to get it to Marilyn Hersey to do the binding. I love it! This one will be entered in the SD Quilt Show.

There are about 1 million tiny pieces of fabric glued down first then a little paint but not much, topped with a very fine orange tulle, then quilted. It was done from a photograph.
