This week is the parade of UFO's. There will be lots of celebrating and fireworks when these are all completed. Today's UFO is a Pat Speth design, Tilly's Treasure, made out of 5"squares, nickle quilts.
I named it Nickle Colored Sky from a phrase my cousin invented and I have always liked the sound of it-since it is a "nickle quilt" and has a lot of turquoise in it. It was the first quilt that I just pulled fat quarters from my stash because I didn't have time to shop for fabric-my first real scrap quilt and I really need to finish all those little squares:) One and a half years in the making-it is time to finish it.

I finished this quilt from Pat's book this year too. It's quite a lot of little pieces but her method sure makes it easier.
Don't feel bad. HST quilts are so tedious. I have an ocean waves quilt that I have been wrestling with for years. Some of the HST just never want to lie smoothly, no many how many times I re-stitch them.
