Seascape-1 step from finished
I attached the bindings and the hanging sleeve. They are only pinned to the back and not sewn down yet but having the borders on makes all the difference. I am going to embroider part of a verse top left corner "Come to the water" There is a blank spot and I think that fits. I wanted to try a 2 color border and this lends itself naturally to it.
I am trying to only do one thing at a time but I had to audition the fabrics for the quilt I am doing in class with Jan Krentz on the 7th. Can't wait! using a selection of Kaffe Fassett and batiks in a Broken Star pattern. I generally stick to traditional-until the seascape-so this is way out of my comfort zone, however, I am very excited to try something new. My plan this year is to try as many new things as possible-so, I need to accept that there are going to be things I don't like that come out of the experiment. Back to the studio to embroider the quilt.

I wish I could be in a class like this. I live in the boonies with few serious quilters around. My passion is making Bible story pictures in applique for Bible quilts, and a class like this would surely overlap with what I do. www.biblequilts.com
I saw your quilts, Janice and they are lovely. I bet you could do this without the class-there are really good classes on Craftsy that are reasonable and they stay on your computer forever. I hope to put as many scriptures on my quilts as possible-God's word never returns void:)
